METHODICAL APPROACHES TO THE EVALUATION OF THE PROCESSES OF MODERNIZATION OF UKRAINE’S INDUSTRIALLY DEVELOPED TERRITORIES

Three stages of modernization are theoretically substantiated. Four modern models of industrialization are defined, and their main characteristics and their interaction are clarified. The available approaches to the evaluation of the processes of modernization are analyzed. A method of quantitative evaluation of the stages of modernization is developed, and the structure and the list of indicators used in the evaluation are substantiated.
The results of quantitative evaluation of the processes of industrial, post-, and neoindustrial modernization in industrially developed regions and economic districts of Ukraine are presented. The integral indices of the stages of modernization of Ukraine’s leading economic districts of Ukraine are compared with the corresponding indices of separate European countries. The absence of an alternative for the neoindustrial modernization of industrially developed territories is proved.
