ON SOME ASPECTS OF THE POLICY REGULATION OF INTERNATIONAL MIGRATION

Using the method of comparative analysis the empirical relationship between the level of globalization and the contingent of international migration is determined; the policy of migration management is examined. It is shown that the process of international migration is directly related to increased globalization, and the level of migration contingent in high-income countries is much higher than in other countries.
Economic migration is one of the most serious issues that concern many countries of the world. In general, population migration consists in movement of people across the borders of a certain territory by changing their permanent place of residence. In this case, the worker is considered an emigrant, and for the host country –– an immigrant. Migration reduces the population of the country exporting labor, and import increases the population of the country. This leads to a serious demographic problem for both sides. At the same time, a change in population has a significant impact on economic and social life. Currently, there is great demand for the study of individual countries, in particular Azerbaijan, in world migration processes, determining the relationship between economic and illegal migration, assessing the impact on the socio-economic development and demographic status of the country. Comparative and statistical analysis, systematic approach, correlation analysis are used as research methods.
